On an unknown date, the Surge Dragon's egg was changed from having green stripes to orange stripes. On March 14, 2017, the Subterranean Dragon's egg elements were switched. On Decemthe Seasonal Dragon's egg changed in appearance. On April 2, 2015, the Frostbite Dragon's elements were switched. On Septemthe Bronze Olympus Dragon's egg and egg pedestal design were changed back to the original. The Bronze Olympus Dragon's egg was changed to include all the colors of the olympus dragons: the Gold Olympus Dragon, Silver Olympus Dragon, and the Bronze Olympus Dragon. Now, its design is multicolored with a pearl in the center. The Pearl Dragon's egg was originally a pale, milky color. The new egg has a rainbow stripe pattern, while the previous design was white with rainbow polka dots. The Rainbow Dragon originally had a different egg design, but it was changed on February 2, 2012. The Sun Dragon and the Moon Dragon originally had black and white checkered boxes as eggs but have been updated to a yellow color with a sun for the Sun Dragon and a grey/blue color with a waxing crescent moon for the Moon Dragon. It was impossible to tell what it was until it hatched. Before the Bone Dragon expired from its original release in 2011, it used the same egg design as the Lava Dragon. On May 25, 2012, Firefly Dragon's primary element was swapped and the egg was redesigned to reflect that. The Scorch Dragon and the Firefly Dragon originally had identical eggs and incubation times. There are a few instances where two dragons uses identical incubation times with the same element combination and thus the type of offspring cannot be confirmed until you see the egg. Exceptions to this are the epic (including limited epic dragons), limited, and gemstone dragons, as their designs are unique. The secondary element determines the design on the egg and the main element determines the color of the background for hybrid dragon eggs. 
All of the primary element dragons' eggs have the design and corresponding color of their element on an off-white background.The design and color of most dragon eggs are fairly predictable based on the combination of elements.Note: Eggs can be displayed on egg pedestals.
